STONE Fair to be held on a revised date from February 3rd to February 6th, 2026. New opportunities for the stone industry in Poznań.
The new proposed date is no coincidence, as the BUDMA International Construction and Architecture Fair – one of the most important events for the construction sector in Poland – will be held at the same time, together with the INTERMASZ Construction Machinery, Vehicles and Specialized Equipment Fair and the INFRATEC Solutions for Infrastructure Construction Fair, which provides a unique opportunity to integrate the construction and stone industries.
Synergy of STONE, BUDMA and INTERMASZ Fairs
The purpose behind the decision to move the STONE Fair date to February is to maximize the benefits for participants of both STONE and Budma Fairs, and to bring added value to the offerings available during the fairs. It is worth recalling that every year the Budma Fair, which will be held at the same time, attracts contractors, investors, developers as well as architects and designers from Poland and all over the world to Poznań (in 2025, 26,000 construction industry professionals from 41 countries came to the capital of the Greater Poland region).
The event also has an extensive program of events, including Engineer Days, Urban Planner’s Day, or ARCHI-STRADA – a unique space friendly to architects, designers and architecture enthusiasts, and a series of subject matter meetings with authorities from the construction and architecture industry. All this makes the STONE Fair in combination with the Budma Fair the perfect space for promoting natural stone as a versatile and timeless material among professionals.
“Stone is gaining prominence in modern architectural and urban planning projects, combining aesthetics with durability, functionality and environmental responsibility. As a building material, it plays a fundamental role in sustainability, both in terms of extraction and environmental protection. The use of recycled aggregates in construction, especially in road upgrades and terrain reinforcement, is an excellent example of efficient resource management and the promotion of stone in public projects. The benefits of combining the STONE and Budma Fairs on the same date are therefore undeniable,” commented Hanna Lisiecka, Director of the STONE Fair.
New fair date - what does the industry think?
Cooperation with the Budma Fair opens up a unique opportunity for integration. The STONE Fair will not only be an exhibition venue, but also a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience. In the context of innovative solutions in infrastructure construction, residential construction and architecture, such cooperation is extremely important, as has already been emphasized by industry professionals.
“In my opinion, the combination of the STONE Fair with the Budma Fair is a move that the stone industry has been waiting for the organizers of the Poznań Trade Fair to make for a long time. (...) Leaving the hermetic formula of the fair intended for the stone industry only and opening it up to investors, potential business partners and, last but not least, architects visiting the Budma Fair is a fantastic idea. By being given a platform to present how our industry has changed, opportunities available to stone mills thanks to new processing technologies, and showcase new materials, whether natural or stone-derived, exhibitors and visitors alike have an opportunity to network and expand their knowledge of one another,” said Krzysztof Piotrowski, Managing Director at PACIFIC Polska.
Moving the date of the STONE Fair to February 2026 is a step towards creating a comprehensive event that will complement the BUDMA Fair. The promotion of stone as an ideal material for a variety of road, urban and interior infrastructure applications will certainly contribute to the growth of the industry and greater interest in this unique material.
“The organization of the STONE Fair during the BUDMA Fair is a very good decision. We have been reporting to the organizer for some time that it would be worth to consider such a move, as it could have a big impact on giving our industry event a new, fresh look. There will definitely be more potential customers for our company at the BUDMA Fair than at specialized stone fairs. In addition, as far as we know, quite a few stone companies would like to interest designers and architects in particular in their offerings, since they are the ones who have a big influence on the choice of stone in both private and public investments,” commented Włodzimierz Ratajczak, President of the Management Board of Wrimar sp. z o.o.
Stone - the aristocrat among building materials
The new date for the STONE Fair will allow to more broadly present stone as a material that combines elegance with durability. Stone adds prestige to buildings, provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, and its unique texture and colors bring unique character to interiors. Over time, stone becomes even more attractive. In the age of environmentalism, natural stone is a sustainable choice with a longer life and lesser environmental impact.
