STONE, BUDMA, and INTERMASZ – A Joint Trade Fair Block Showcasing Architecture, Stone, and Technology
At the beginning of February this year, the Poznań International Fair will once again become the meeting hub for the construction, architecture, and stone industries. From February 3rd to 6th, the STONE-BUDMA-INTERMASZ trade fair block will take place, combining themes of natural stone, architecture, design, and modern technologies for construction and industry.
A key element of the program will be the ARCHI-STRADA Design and Architecture Forum in Pavilion 5, which over three days of the fair will become a space for debates, lectures, and meetings devoted to aesthetics, revitalization, everyday architecture, and urban space design. Author meetings with writers will also be an interesting highlight. The program will feature presentations by renowned architects and experts, including representatives from the JEMS Architekci studio, APA Wojciechowski, TOPOSCAPE, as well as researchers specializing in neuroarchitecture and environmental psychology. As a special guest, Carl Bäckstrand – Deputy CEO of White Arkitekter, one of the largest and most prestigious Scandinavian architectural firms – has been invited.
Lectures conducted in cooperation with MARMOMAC Academy also hold a special place in the program. As part of these, experts from Italy (Gianni Simonelli and Paolo Marone) will explore the journey of stone "from quarry to architecture," innovative technologies, and the sustainable use of natural stone. The partnership between Veronafiere and the MARMOMAC brand underscores the international character of the event and the growing role of stone in architecture and design.
Concurrently, Pavilion 5 will host the Interior Design Salon, focused on interior design and neuroarchitecture. The program will cover topics related to design responsibility, collaboration between architects and contractors, new technologies – including AI – as well as the design of residential, commercial, medical, and HoReCa spaces.
A significant addition to the STONE-BUDMA-INTERMASZ trade fair block program will be substantive events dedicated to current regulatory, technological, and safety challenges in construction. Already on February 3rd, during the BUDMA fair, the specialized SCHRONTECH+ protective training will take place, focusing on new technical requirements for protective construction that will come into force on January 1, 2026. The training will concentrate on the practical implementation of the so-called shelter law, aimed at enhancing the level of civilian protection in crisis situations.
The BUDMA program will also include topics related to geodesy, the use of drones in construction, structural monitoring, and transaction safety in the construction market. Presentations by public administration representatives will also be an important element, addressing changes in regulations concerning construction products, contractor certification, and new EU regulations. The program will be complemented by conferences on prefabrication, energy-efficient construction (EU30), fire safety, and the quality and modernization of existing buildings, including large-panel construction.
Such a broad thematic scope makes the STONE-BUDMA-INTERMASZ block a comprehensive knowledge platform – integrating architecture, materials, technology, and safety in modern construction.
