Day 1 of the STONE fair - an exceptional start!
The first day of STONE 2024 fair is behind us! The opening ceremony, prestigious awards in the Acanthus Aureus competition, inspiring lectures, practical training courses and exciting competitions - these were just some of the attractions that awaited the participants of the fair.
Today we started the first day of the STONE 2024 fair, inaugurating it with an opening ceremony, during which we had the honor of hosting on stage the Deputy Governor of Wielkopolska Jaroslaw Maciejewski, President of the Polish Stonemasonry Association Michal Firlej and Wlodzimierz Ratajczak - Member of the Board of the National Association of Manufacturers of Stone Products.
During the opening, the results of the prestigious Acanthus Aureus competition were also announced. Congratulations to the awarded companies:

The first day of the fair is also an extremely intensive schedule - an extensive program of events awaits all participants today, from lectures on the main stage, to presentations and training courses. Leading industry experts will share their knowledge and present tools that are sure to be useful in the development of your business. The main stage featured lectures that not only inspired, but also provided practical knowledge:
- Prof. Dr. Andrzej Solecki addressed the topic “What should we value limestone for?” with an insightful analysis of the value of stone in various applications.
- Anil Taneja, director of Natural Stone Industry Magazine LITOSonline.com, talked about “The future of Natural Stone in a world of artificial materials,” highlighting global challenges and opportunities for the natural stone industry.
- Alfred Marian Sroka, vice president of TSOWZK and an expert witness, discussed “Traps in the selection of stone in architectural projects,” sharing practical tips for designers and contractors.
- Jakub Podlinski of Klink presented a dynamic talk entitled. “Natural stone - a versatile material in construction and interior design,” showing various applications of stone in modern design.
There was also plenty of room for practical education - OXYLINE provided training on safe work with respiratory protection, providing participants with knowledge crucial to occupational health and safety.
As part of the educational zone in Pavilion 8, organized by OSPWzK, experts provided free consultations throughout the day, answering participants' questions and sharing their knowledge.
Among the additional attractions, it is impossible to miss the exciting “Master of Sandblasting” Competition, which returned to the STONE Fair this year.
